The Tourist Information and Intelligence System (Sistema d'Informació i Intel·ligència Turística,
SIIT) is a big data platform including the main indicators to monitor the dynamics of the tourism sector in the 36 metropolitan municipalities. The System monthly collects and analyses data related to the behaviour of metropolitan tourism organised in four major fields: visibility of the tourist destination, characteristics and profile of the tourists, data on tourist consumption and characteristics of the tourist offer.
